14 DAY TRIAL // Great news for “Law and Order: SVU” fans: detective Olivia Benson will be back with season 15. Mariska Hargitay, the actress playing Benson who announced in 2011 that she would be taking some time off, has confirmed the news on her Twitter.
Speculation about her return to the show had been making the rounds for some time, when she took to the social networking site this weekend to set the record straight.
“Where's the faith people??? Season 15 here we come!,” Mariska first wrote, addressing fans lamenting the fact that she’d been away from the show for so long.
“Happy weekend. It's official. Season 15 – I'LL BE BACK!,” the actress tweeted a short while afterwards, officially confirming she was back at NBC.
“Law and Order: SVU” might not be the ratings juggernaut it once was, but there’s no denying there are millions of fans out there feeling pretty happy about Mariska’s return right now.
