Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time is the fifth game in the Mario RPG series, and it is a Nintendo DS exclusive title, released in November 2005 in North America, December 2005 in Japan, January 2006 in Europe, and February 2006 in Australia. The game was developed by AlphaDream, and published by Nintendo. Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time is the sequel to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga for the GameBoy Advance, and a precursor to the Mario & Luigi 3 game, which has been scheduled for release in 2009.

Even though the game is the sequel to Superstar Saga, the stories of the two games don't have anything in common. Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time explores the story of two brothers who travel between the past and the present of the Mushroom Kingdom.

The adventure follows Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi, as they search for Princess Peach, who has been abducted by an alien species, known as the Shroobs. The game focuses on co-operative play among the four characters, who must use their specific skills in order to progress.

Featuring Mario, the most beloved plumber in the world, the game can be considered a general success, bringing the RPG Mario series to an all-time high on the Nintendo DS console, as it has sold over one million copies until now. It has gained critical acclaim for the innovative use of the  DS' two screens and the tongue-in-cheek humorous story.

Easy coins

When you are in the Thwomp Volcano, there is a part where you are supposed to get 30 gems, in order to pass. When you finish it, go out, and then go in again. Step on the Thwomp and say "Yes" that you want to play. Get any number of gems, and, if you do not get 50 of them you, will get 20 coins. Repeat this to get as many coins as desired.

In Thwomps Volcano, when you first enter the dormant volcano, go right one screen (which you usually must do). In the area where you must spin your babies, spin them and only them. Leave the older Bros. at the top. When the babies get to the bottom, take the older Bros. back to the upper-side of the volcano (left one screen) and get the babies back with the pipe block. Repeat this process, and each time you will get 70 coins.
