Whether you're a fan of The Legend of Zelda series, Metroid series or Pokemon series, you cannot miss Mario Strikers: Charged Football, as the all-time favourite Nintendo characters take to the pitch, this Friday, 25th MaY, across Europe. Fair-play is the last thing on your mind with combat and Wi-Fi gaming in this ultimate extreme sport title, perfectly tailored for the Wii's motion sensitive control.

Mario Strikers: Charged Football is not your average football game, but an exciting and engaging emphasis on each team's captain, each having unique abilities and enhanced skills, which allow them to really influence the outcome of a game. Team captains feature a Super Ability which can be used to send their opponents into nonexistence, ranging from Mario growing to giant proportions and trampling other players, to Peach taking a photo and freezing the entire opposing team on the spot.

In Mario Strikers: Charged Football, gamers can also choose 3 side-kicks (from a total of 8), with each of them having unique features, allowing for tactical team customization.

As for the control scheme, the Wiimote will encourage the player to make instinctive physical movements to achieve the desired effect within the game, with basic movement and strikes executed using the analogue stick, buttons and nunchuk.

Game modes:

- multiplayer mode: up to four players in can join any game (players must split between two teams; Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection Service will take on players from across the globe!

- Road to the Striker Cup: the game's main mode, pits players against increasingly difficult opposition as they compete to win three different cups.

Europe will benefit of the Wi-Fi connection, adding a whole new level of competition to the game as players can take on opponents from across Europe and compete in ranked tournaments, earning points for each win and the most spectacular goal scored.

So what are you waiting for? You're European right? It is the 25th of May 2007, is it not? Go tell mom and dad that the greatest fair-play-free football game is out for the Wii and ask them to buy it for 30 quid. And if you don't have a Wii, then ask them to spend 179 more pounds -this is a must-have title!
