In between some major triple-A releases this week, Sega and Nintendo have deployed the very special Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games title and, in order to remind everyone what's included, a special launch trailer is now available.

Mario & Sonic have had a longtime partnership in promoting the Olympic games, with the iconic mascots of Nintendo and Sega, respectively, getting their friends to compete with one another in all sorts of activities and sports.

Now, with the London 2012 Olympics approaching rapidly, Sega and Nintendo have already released a new Mario & Sonic title that visits the capital of the UK and sees the video game characters engage in Olympic activities such as soccer (football), horse riding, canoeing, or other sorts of athletic events that, surprisingly, aren't dominated by Sonic's trademark speed.

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games is now available for the Wii in North America and is getting ready to debut in Europe on November 18. A 3DS version is also planned for release in February, 2012.
