14 DAY TRIAL // Mario Lopez, the handsome and ripped X Factor co-host, is officially off the market. Mario and his longtime girlfriend and baby mama Courtney Mazza were married in a very low key ceremony over the weekend.
Us Weekly has confirmation of the happy news, together with more details but, for the time being, no pictures have been made available online.
According to the celebrity publication, the two were married on December 1 on the beach in Mexico, during a very private, intimate ceremony to which only family and friends were invited.
However, fans should not lose hope of seeing Mario and Courtney as bride and groom, because the whole thing will air on TV as a celebrity wedding special.
“Taped for a TLC wedding special set to air Dec. 8, the couple’s nuptials featured one very special guest: Lopez and Mazza’s 2-year-old daughter, Gia, who served as their flower girl. Adding to the cute factor? Gia wore an adorable dress that matched Mom’s gown,” the publication says.
Just before tying the knot, Mario spoke to Us and revealed that, as far as the ceremony was concerned, he was taking a step back and letting his future bride have all the fun.
“She’s the quarterback of the team. It’s her day, so I’m cool with what she wants. But I’m involved with the reception because I want it to be a big party,” Lopez said.
“The only thing that’s going to change is my last name. Same love, same everything!” Courtney gushed.
Mario and Courtney have been together for 4 years, and already have an adorable daughter together. While this is Courtney’s first marriage, it’s Mario’s second, if one can count the first as such: in 2004, he married model Ali Landry and had the marriage annulled just 2 weeks later.
