Mario Forever Walkthrough and Speed Run

A free Mario game is a blessing for all the fans out there and Buziol Games manages to offer us this great classic. With all the original levels and a cool new editing tool called Mario Worker, Mario Forever proves that our favorite Italian plumber will never cease to be the most famous gaming character ever. Proceed through the worlds of this classic side-scrolling 2D title and defeat the turtles and evil plants in order to save the princess. Collect the mushrooms and become Super Mario, or the shooting Doctor Mario that can wipe out any kind of pesky critter you may encounter. There are some crazy gamers out there that can complete any level in less than one minute. I've shown you such a speed run below and you should really check out the walkthrough if you want to find all the hidden areas in Mario Forever:
Cheat mode: Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "mafosav" file in the "buziol gamesmario forever" folder. Change the indicated set of lines in the file for the desired world you wish to play.

World Walkthrough:
World 1-1: My Difficulty rating: 0.10
There are many secrets in this level, as it is the easiest!
The mushroom plague is found about 3cm to the left of Mario's starting position. Walk 3 centimeters to the left, and press down. Go a tiny bit further each time and keep pressing down until you find it. The next secret is in the second large pipe to the right. The last pipe if you like to call it that way. Duck in it and you should appear in a bonus room with coins in it! If you go further, pass over this pipe and keep going forward, you will eventually come across a few bricks, question marks and goombas. Go forward and jump onto the first row, walk to the first gap after the last brick in the top row and jump! A life should appear if done correctly. There are many turtles in this level, make sure to knock them into other enemies to gain multiple point masses, or even a life!
World 1-2: My Difficulty rating: 0.18
To enter this room, you fall out of the roof and land near an inventory made out of a few coins, bricks and a mushroom/flower and some goombas. There is sometimes a little glitch with the move patterns of these goombas. Once you collect all the essentials, you can move on to see some blue block sticks. In between the last 2 you should see a goomba guarding an obviously multiple point brick. Flush him out and grab the points. Next you should come across 2 rows of bricks. Jump onto the first row and walk to he final brick to the left. Now jump and hold left, (not too much or you will die!) and then you should burst a secret star. A simple thing to do would be to run and knock over all these enemies. However, if you are a lazy person and wish to skip world 1, 2 and 3, walk under the small blue brick gap and go close to the right edge and jump up. If you keep going and decide that you want to do the rest of the levels and beat the game properly keep going until you come across 3 piranha plant pipes. Go to the first one and hop on top of it once the plant is down. Then repeat the process like the one you did to get the other star. NOTE: You mustn't die in this level for it to be there! Keep going after you have it and you come across 2 vertical pipes. You can either do the simple way and go to the second pipe, right-side pipe and press down to access a bonus coin room. (It's not a trap as it may seem). If you keep going there is only a minor secret at the end which is made out of a few secret coin blocks, (single coins). Then you finish!
World 1-3: My Difficulty rating: 0.3
This level has one major secret world, well, 1 level in it. Go through the whole level until you reach some elevators. Make sure you leave some so you can come back to the pipe above the sky with bricks on it. Then just progress through the rest of the way until you see the finish line. Don't touch it! Instead you should see a cloud that you can touch. Go under it and jump up directly. A beetroot should appear, note you MUST be super Mario, (big) to get this. Then go back and break the bricks and access goomba Party. You mustn't die in the first 3 levels to find the beetroot there. Otherwise just go to the end of the level as there are no more major secrets.
World 1-4: My Difficulty rating: 0.28
Basically, just keep going and collecting all the stuff on the way until you see a bunch of goombas and you hit an invisible question mark in a large area. There are more above the first layer. Hit them all then go on the roof and stay up there until you reach a warp pipe to world 3! Otherwise just beat Bowser and progress to world 2 as normal. Be armed if you're a beginner when you fight Bowser.

great game not really an expert but fancied a go as i remembered it as a kid, stuck at jumping the big jump in the fire castle right after the circular blades, lol.any ideas? Live long

i really love the game but i just cant pass world 6-2 its really hard and I've tryed every single pipe which i cant get in....

go to the second upside down pipe there will be 1 pipe which,s exit will be on a side
go further to your left
there wil be a pipe which is 2 high 4 you to jump
fin an invincible coin there go the pipe
keep going forward and do NOT jump where the zig zag coins are
try the pipe which comes first
it will lead you outside the cage
then move forward
go go go
and there will be a purple pipe
go into it
TADAAAAAAAA

look at the pipes.....go into only the pipes the light up alittle...look closely and u will see the correct pipes....hope this helps

I got a kewl secret to see all secrets unlocked and the Levels 'FUNNY TANKS' and 'Human Laboratory World'
If you want to see all follow this:
When you start you find urself in a place with three pipes. Keep going tothe right and stand in the last block and jump the most highest and far... then keep going right and you find the 'Human Laboratory World'... don't enter the pipe and do Z-Jump to the right and you'll find the lost map. Keep going right and you'll find the secrets you already made and for the last screen keep going right and you found Funny tanks level! If you keep right you'll fall off and start from the three pipes... The shortcut to go to lost map screen is pressing Q.

you have to kill the guy coming out of the pipe right before it takes you to the part with lava... then you can move forward from there... so you always have to have a shooting powerup on that level
i get stuck on World 2 level 3 where theres that springy thing, no matter how hard i try i cant get mario to bounce over far enough to get across the gap. can any1 give me advice on how 2 do it?

don't use the spring thing, jump off the top row of bricks just left of the gap, you will clear hole

This is chainsawman again. I was new to the game a few days ago and I found the answer to the jumping problem. I will clarify so it can easily be
understood. For a long jump press z and x at the same time. For a running jump press x to build speed before pressing z when springboard is used, but
be aware it is easy to overshoot. Jade, on your problem in World 2-3 as posted in comment 20, here's help. Forget the springboard. Go to the upper
platform without knocking out any blocks. Stand as far you can to left without
falling off then move right and press z and x at the same time and float down.
You will be in front of the goal when you land.

I'm a newbie at this. I'm stuck in world 2-4. How do I jump across to the other side of the hole off the jump thingy? On my computer I use z to jump and x to fire.

hold down z to run and you'll be able to jump and higher and further that way
I'm also stuck in world 6 in the last level. You can run to the right, but you won't get any further. I tried everything, but I'm not giving up and I'm certainly not going to use cheats.
Has anybody got to answer to my problem?
Stop asking about the jumping problems. Everything has been explained on that matter above, so read that before asking.

you needgo to the lowest one and you will have aother one just after. in the second one you need go the highest one and dont wory you need to run 10 secondes in each of them
i also can't get out of world 6-2.. and the pipe with the flower inside also leads to the same place... and the level cheats don't work 4me... help plsssss...
In the first room you must enter the utmost right pipe in the room.
When you enter the second room you should be seeing 2 flying turtles and a spiked one on the ground. You also should see 2 pipes coming from the roof with pipe piranha's coming out of them. From those 2 pipes enter the second one, but of course wait for the pipe piranha to retract.
You will fall out of another pipe and enter a room with 4 flying turtles. You will land between 2 pipes, if you walk to the left one and jump you will receive a growing mushroom. Now continue collecting the coins in the room and leave the room via the utmost left pipe.
You will enter a new room with shooting pipe piranha's. In this room you can collect several things, find out for yourself what these things are. ;)
In this room you will have to find the secret 'brick' or 'cube' on which you can stand when you jump on it. Hint it's on the left in that room and when you make it appear, it enables you to reach the utmost upper left pipe in the room. Enter it.
Now you will reach the last part of this part of the level. Try to reach the end of the room, which is on the right and enter the last pipe. Don't enter the pipe that's at the bottom of the gap, this one will teleport you back to the beginning of the level.
You will now see daylight again, but beware of the falling platforms..

as per your way, mario doesn't enter in second one pipe if jump beneath of this pipe. how to enter in second one pipe. how to jump. it touches the pipe but doesn;t enter.

Hey.. to solve your 6th world problems open Youtube.. and there are videos of the stages you are stuck in!! just type like mario forever 6-2 and u r done!!
i am stuck in the second world, just before enterting the castle, as there is a big jump and a device setup that helps you perform the long jump required, but have tried a zillion time, but i believe that i am not doing one of the commands correct, because of which i cannot do it.
Whom so ever has already achieved the above, i would seriously appreciate if they can advise me on how to do it.

don't use the spring, just do a long jump from the bricks above it. there are two 1-ups hidden at the top of the screen to the left of the spring that you can jump off the bricks to reveal, then use the spring to help snag them before they fall in the abyss.
How do you pass 6-4 in details PLEASE!!! I just keep running and running and running!!HELP!!!

In Mario Forever when you first start the game go righ then jump on a brick then jump right go right until you find a tube go inside it then you'll see alien pictures!If you want to find them walking go right jump un the jars then there will be a long jump just run then jump then go right after that you will find walking aliens!So please leave a comment
I hated this walk through it didnt help me at all. Im still confused about what to do on level four, theres a clearing above hot lava that mario just can't jump. I'm still clueless about what I should do. Thanks for nothing.

javaris, you cannot enter all the pipes in world 6......you can only enter certain 1's. so if it does not let you enter, then that means that you cannot go in there !! anyway...have fun and enjoy

how do you pass the little jumping thing on world 2? its like a little red hour glass shaped thing that i guess ur suppose to jump on.. but im just not jumpin high enuff... (HELP??)

Is yours too 2.16 version..? even i m trying hard to clear 6-2 stage of mario.. I watched how to clear the stage in youtube there it goes upside pipe but still when i tried its not working.. i think there is some problem with 2.16 mario version..

I've gotten to a new world and it doen't save once I die. It starts me over at the beginning of game.

u cant save the game it auto saves after u beat each world not lvl is u die b4 u pass the world u gonna have to do the whole world over again ya i kno it suck...especially if ur at the castle thne end up lossin all lives....happened to me alot... but finally beat the game yay me :D!
wow....got super jump some how while randomly jumping around in the start menue place trying to get to the lost map stage been to the human lab thing it was cool lol....wish i could figure out how i did the super jump cheat tho it let me jup very high highe than u can se anyway accidently jumped over the wall at te very end where the tunnel to the human lab world is and died and cam back out the first tunnel but couldnt super jump anymore....hmm..dang well if figure it out again il post it on here solve everyones jumping over things problem :D...ok so can someone tell me how to get to the lost map world? i beat the game and wanna go thanx :)

to get past through there u can do this by 2 methods 1st go to the upper most brick go to the brick starting point and then press and hold x to run fast and then run fast to the endpoint and then press z and then also hold x you will jump very high and you will reach there.second method is see at the end there is spring jump at it till u reach very high after u reach very high jump again on the spot but this time when u jump press and hold x button and move ahead.if it is not working mail me at wolfa69@ymail.com
2 jump over d hole of d firecastle go 2 d extreme left n den run towrds d right while pressing d spacebar 2o..as spacebar makes mario run faster..n den wen u reach d corner press z n jump over d hole..!! :)
Did you try to press down on your fire key(most likely X) and jump? You'll see its much higher. So try to jump while holding down on the X key.. see if it works for you..

I might need some help with mario forever.In the lost world, at level 1st I cant jump over from that secong jumping thing..or however u call.(where are those 2 bugs front of the 2pipes) Ive tried like a hundred times,but I cant:( I even tried with the speed run plus jumping button,but I Cant. How to get past Level 6-2?. I know that we have to ascend through the 2nd upward pipe but I have tried millions of times and the pipe simply dosent want to accept me. Can anyone help?

Me too.. i am also stuck in the second room... the second piranha pipe wont accept me.. but the upright piranha pipe to the left of these two upside ones took me to another cave where i was able to kill a hammer throwing guy. but then i was taken back to the beginning from there.. :(

in world 2 level 4 i believe i keep dieing the spring is there but all i do is jump i readed that there is 2 lifes in hiden boxes but i can find them i have tryed but i just keep dieing
