Former employees step up and confirm the rumors about animal cruelty

Marineland, a themed park in the city of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, might soon have to face legal charges, as eight former employees finally decided to break the silence and spoke about how the park needs be held responsible for maltreating the whales, dolphins, sea lions and walruses it should be looking after.

Apparently, one major issue for this park is the fact that the water in which the animals swim is not one of very good quality, which means that their health is constantly threatened by their living conditions.

Moreover, Marineland seems to be understaffed, which means that the animals lack proper trainers whose job would be to keep a close eye on their general wellbeing and on how they interact with each other in safe ways.

As Phil Demers, former senior trainer at this themed park explains, “The animals were in hell.”

Naturally, animal rights defenders now worry that the physical abuses the animals suffered over extended periods of time might have also affected their psychological equilibrium.
