Marilyn Manson may have done and said a lot of things to shock the world, but chances are he's not done yet: he's feeling broody, he admits in a new interview with The Guardian.

Even if you're not a fan and you simply chose to believe all that you read before about Manson, this piece is a must-read because it goes to great lengths to set the record straight on many things.

For one, Manson insists that he's nothing like his persona, the shock rocker who isn't afraid of anything and anyone. Deep down inside, he's still the same kid he was in school, minus the braces and the acne.

Secondly, he's feeling broody and is actually contemplating having a baby to pass on his “demented genius.”

“My girlfriend Lindsay’s twin just had a baby and I’ve started to think that maybe I wouldn’t mind passing my demented genius on to some small thing who can set fire and breathe profanity,” Manson tells the magazine.

He doesn't say that his girlfriend might be the one to start a family with, but that much we can conclude from the interview, especially since he also talks about his ideal woman.

“I am drawn to women who are independent and creative, which is problematic because it’s a struggle, a competition of careers. There’s jealousy. And if you don’t want to be known as Marilyn Manson’s girlfriend, why would you be it?” he says.

On the same occasion, Manson talks about his close friendship to actor Johnny Depp and, as expected, has nothing but nice things to say about him.

Fans will know that this isn't the first time that the two shed some light on their close friendship: Manson is now saying they're almost like brothers.

“Johnny Depp is like a brother to me. We have matching tattoos on our backs – Charles Baudelaire, the flowers of evil, this giant skeleton thing. It’s kind of a secret. People say to us, 'Why did you get that?' And we say, 'No reason',” the star explains.

“Actors always want to be musicians and musicians want to be actors. The thing with Johnny is, he was a musician first, so he knows how to jam. He has taught me how to get in a room with someone I don’t know and start playing,” he adds.
