Marianne Faithfull declared she was shocked when her family and close friends called, preocupate about her heaving a heart attack. Marianne, 58, said she was furious when she found out that some papers reported she had a heart attack during the shooting of "The Picture of Dorian Grey", being rushed to hospital with severe chest pains.

Faithfull is angry because she wasn't even asked about this story by the editors, before printing the unfounded story, because her loved ones have worried about her for no reason.

"These horrible rumours are completely untrue. I haven't had a heart attack, not even a slight one. It's upsetting that so many of my friends and family have been forced to worry unnecessarily about my health.

I'm currently on tour in Europe and I want to reassure everyone coming to the shows that I'm OK."

Marianne Faithfull, born December 29, 1946, is a British singer who began her career in 1964 (see 1964 in music) with "As Tears Go By", a song written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.

She then released a series of successful singles, including "This Little Bird", "Summer Nights" and "Sister Morphine". In 1969, she played Ophelia in the Nicole Williamson adaptation of Hamlet.
