14 DAY TRIAL // Starting May 18, Mariah Carey fans, aka the Lambs, can get their MC fix thanks to a new music album that will arrive in stores, including all of Mariah’s 18 number 1 singles and a bonus track called “Infinity.”
The album is called “#1 to Infinity,” and the new song has just debuted online. You can listen to it in full below: it even has a lyric video packed with repetitive images of butterflies, glitter and a rainbow against a purple background.
No word yet on when this might have been penned, but because it speaks of the breakup of a serious relationship and of heartbreak, not few are those who will probably be connecting the dots to say that this is a song inspired by the demise of her marriage to Nick Cannon.
Either way, quality-wise, it’s a solid effort, the kind Mariah has been delivering for years. The fans are in love with it, but then again, the Lambs are known to love everything their idol puts out, even if it’s less than stellar.
The release of the single marks the Las Vegas event held in celebration for Mariah’s upcoming Caesars Palace Vegas Residency.
