In between spending time with her adorable twins and working hard to get her pre-pregnancy body back, Mariah Carey has also been putting in the extra hours at the music studio. She'll be showcasing new music no later than this spring.

Though she hasn't exactly been absent from the scene these past few months (mostly because she released several Christmas songs), it's been a while since Mariah put out new material.

Fans should be happy to know that this will change soon: this May, not only will she be back to live performing, but she'll also premiere new music.

Mariah Connection has confirmation that the diva is booked to perform in Morocco a few months from now.

“Pop superstar Mariah Carey is expected in Rabat, Morocco to close the 11th edition of the Mawazine Rhythms of the World festival. [She] will sing in front of the Moroccan public on the stage of the OLM Souissi from 22:00, Saturday, May 26, 2012,” the e-zine reports.

As if that wasn't enough to make fans crazy happy, the same media outlet also knows for a fact that Mariah will be singing at least a couple of new songs.

“Aufait Maroc reports that Mariah Carey will be performing “one or two songs” from her new album,” Mariah Connection says.

Various other Mariah Carey fansites have also confirmed this.

What makes the upcoming performance even more highly anticipated is Mariah's statement of November last year when, discussing the ways in which the pregnancy changed her, she also talked about her voice.

“Right now I feel like pregnancy actually helped me vocally. At this moment my voice is in great shape,” she said, as we informed you at the time time.

Also on the same occasion, the diva confirmed she was working on a new studio album, saying it would be out in stores “soon.”
