reports that Mariah is in the final negotiations with producers for the job and, get this, she might actually write television history if all goes well.
Mariah will reportedly be paid a whopping $17 million (€14.04 million) for just one season, considerably more than Jennifer Lopez got before her – and even more than Britney Spears, who signed on Simon Cowell's X Factor.
“If Carey is officially onboard, one big question remains: Who will sit next to her?” MTV asks.
