As announced earlier this week, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have agreed to finally let cameras into their home and, at the same time, show off their baby twins for the first time. The 20/20 segment is below, embedded at the end of the article.

Barbara Walters sat down with the happy couple for a frank interview on their marriage, their struggle to conceive and, last but not least, their adorable babies, Moroccan and Monroe.

Or Roc and Roe, as they call them.

As the video below will confirm, Mariah, though usually very guarded about her personal life, goes into the specifics of her relationship with Nick: how they met, whether she was afraid to get married again after her first disastrous experience, how their life as a married couple plays out.

When Nick is nice, he's the most extraordinary guy in the world, Mariah says, adding with a smile that, when he isn't nice, he's just being a “man.”

Nick, on the other hand, says getting to meet and, later on, date and romance the diva was a dream come true, since he had a crush on her for years before the moment they were first introduced.

When they became pregnant shortly after their impulsive wedding ceremony, they were elated – but their happiness was short-lived, as Mariah miscarried.

The second time around, they were both thrilled and scared senseless. She was carrying twins and the pregnancy turned out to be a very difficult one – but she and Nick successfully strove to keep these details out of the pages of the tabloids.

“The main thing I did that was tough, was to go on progesterone like every month… and then when I was pregnant, I had to stay with the progesterone for 10 weeks,” Mariah recalls.

Towards the end of her pregnancy, she could hardly get out of bed and even needed assistance to stand up or go to the bathroom.

In retrospective, all that trouble and pain were well worth it, because they have the two most beautiful children in the world.

“They’re incredible…But I will say that they really respond to music,” Mariah says of Roc and Roe, though dad Nick insists he doesn't want them to be in entertainment but focus on their education first and foremost.

In all honesty, this is one of the most heartwarming celebrity interviews of recent times. Check it out below and drop us a line in the comments section about what you made of it.
