Mariah Carey is a brilliant musician. She may not know too much about fashion or PR, but she can sing! Then, one has to ask, what's up with this obsession to see herself on the big screen? America has seen her first (and, everybody hoped, last) film, 'Glitter'. It was released in 2001 and won many Strawberry Awards, proving that it was indeed the worst movie ever (ok, maybe not 'ever', but of that year for sure). There are some people who say that it was even worse than Britney's 'Crossroads'... We have our doubts as to that. Anyway, it seems that there is one director willing to risk his carrier and cast Mariah for a role. We are talking about Lee Daniels, who gave Mariah the part of a waitress in his latest production, 'Tennessee'. He is aware, according to the singer/actress, that he is a 'risk-taker' but, also, that she needs a second chance at acting. We respectfully disagree: she needs acting lessons, not second chances! Unfortunately, we have no information respecting the release date for the movie. No doubt, you wouldn't want to miss it.
