Now that the cat is out of the bag, and singer Mariah Carey has confirmed she’s pregnant with her and Nick Cannon’s first child, she can openly talk about how she’s feeling.

Just one day after confirming in a televised interview what the entire world had been suspecting for a couple of months, Mariah did an interview on Nick’s radio show, People informs.

On this occasion, she admitted that, aside from the joys of pregnancy, she was also feeling the not-so-pleasant side effects of it, like tiredness and nausea.

“Right now I feel nauseous, I’m exhausted,” Mariah said on Nick’s Rollin’ with Nick Cannon radio show on 92.3 NOW, the magazine informs.

The interview was part of the promotion tour for her latest album, “Merry Christmas II You,” her second holiday album to date, but not all talk was business-related.

“I guess after New Year’s,” the singer said, when asked if she had any plans to take some time off from all this work.

“The five-time Grammy Award-winning singer, 41, also says she’s been ‘insulated’ from the outside world since sharing their baby news with the world. ‘I didn’t even look and see who contacted me,’ she said,” People writes.

Mariah and Nick also revealed that the usually over the top Christmas celebrations at their house will be even grander this year, since they have more to celebrate than in 2009.

“Yes, we do,” Mariah echoed back the sentiment. “We definitely, most certainly do,” she added with conviction.

Amidst some speculation that she confirmed her pregnancy to boost sales of her latest album, Nick explains in a post on his website that this is twisting things.

“My wife and I keep our personal business very private. Being under a microscope 24/7 is not easy, so it is very important to keep certain things between just us,” Nick writes.

“Mariah revealed the news about her miscarriage and the long road of healing it took to try and move forward,” Mariah’s husband adds.

As we also informed you the other day, Mariah herself confirmed that she was pregnant, saying she was due sometime in spring.
