Mariah Carey gave birth to twins earlier this year and she's already back to her pre-pregnancy body. The singer made an appearance on OWN's The Rosie Show to unveil her sizzling new figure and to speak of how she managed to get it.

Fans know – and Mariah has made no secret of it – that the diva gained a lot of weight after she became pregnant with the twins, Roc and Roe.

This partly explains why she chose to keep such a low profile in the final months of the pregnancy (which put her on bedrest) and the months after giving birth: as she tells Rosie, she was ashamed of her body.

As the videos below will confirm, Mariah has lost 70 pounds (31.7kg) already and it's all down to Jenny Craig.

Making her grant entrance on a moon-shaped recliner from which she had to be helped out by two bodyguards, the diva looked stunning in the tiniest black dress and killer heels.

A few months ago, she was the exact opposite of that, she tells Rosie: she was so ashamed of how heavy she'd gotten she was wondering why she ever had so many mirrors put around the house, and would take a bath covered in a towel so as to not see herself.

Shortly after giving birth, Mariah was already losing weight but the toughest part was yet to come, because she was losing mostly water she's retained.

“In the beginning, when I first had the babies, I had so much edema… water and swelling. Most pregnant woman have that just in their feet,” she says.

“One day I was doing my thank-you notes and I noticed it started rising up the leg, so I had edema… I didn't think I would ever be the same person,” Mariah recalls.

“The first week, I lost 40 lbs.… of just water. It was just water, initially. When I started with the program, I lost at least 30 lbs of weight that needed to be lost,” she says of going on Jenny Craig.

Aside from losing weight, Mariah has also discovered with the program how good it feels to be healthy, to set goals and see them attained.

“The whole point of this is not just like: 'Oh, hey, look at me and my weight loss, I'm fantastic.' It's really health,” she says.
