Singer Mariah Carey has recently revealed that she's sleeping 15 hours a day in a room full of voice-preserving humidifiers before singing live in a concert. Mariah, 35, declared that she does this kind of preparation to make sure that her voice would be in the top condition when she would go on stage.

The singer declared: "It's bleak, but you gotta do what you gotta do."

Mariah also confessed that she doesn't get out of bed until 5 pm because she usually goes to sleep at 7 in the morning, and takes her lunch at 2 a.m. As she explained: "I live in my own little universe."

The artist revealed that there were times in her life when she had to survive with only one dollar a day.
She stated in an interview with Britain's Glamour magazine: "There were times when I had one dollar to last all day.
So it was, 'Do I go on the subway, or do I have a bagel?'"But I didn't care, because in my mind I knew, 'I'm gonna succeed one day, so this is my moment where I have holes in my shoes.'"
