Admit it - the last thing you expected to hear about the pretentious Mimoo was that she dreams of being a regular housewife. And yet it's true - or so the pop diva claims. The 37-year-old singer is desperate to find a husband so she can settle down and start a family, because - hold on to your pants, guys - she isn't prepared to have a baby out of wedlock.
"If I were to have a child, I would want to be married with a stable family environment", Mariah stated. "Not to say that's how everyone has to do it but it's the way I want to do things. My parents divorced when I was young and I'm not saying it was unstable but it's not ideal either". However, when asked about her current romantic status, Mariah - who was previously married to former Sony Records boss Tommy Mottola - replied: "I don't know how to answer that".
Well, come on, now, how difficult can that be, really? I mean, I'm sure that Mariah's diva attitude and sometimes crazy whims are really easy to put up with. Piece of cake - just give her all the money, never contradict her, praise her vocal skills, never fall asleep while listening to her songs and make sure that if she ever has to use a public restroom there are no innocent witnesses around to piss off the spoiled singer. And there you have it - done. I only hope that this whole "I want a husband" frenzy doesn't equal a Mariah Carey desperate baby hunt. Just imagine that - J. Lo and Angelina Jolie mixed into one, giant "I want a baby" saga with an extra Mimoo flavor. Sweet. Too sweet.

But Mariah, it seems, has become a lot wiser in past years, which, I must admit, makes me a little more optimistic than I would have been under normal circumstances. The singer decided it was her turn to offer some precious advice for troubled stars such as Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. Her take on the situation? Turn to religion to overcome your problems!
"If you're not spiritually centered you're kind of back and forth. But you know, not everybody is at that point, and maybe some people have to reel themselves in to get to that point. Prayer is what works for me. Reading the Bible works for me because knowledge is power". What can I say? She really has that whole "wisdom for the ages" clich all figured out. One point on which she is not at all modest, however, is her new album. "It's hard for me to sit here and talk about it without sounding like I'm bragging, but I'm in love with this album" she said. "We haven't got a title yet but it's a really fun record". Wait a minute - wasn't pride one of those seven deadly sins? Well, I guess she reconsidered.
