Mariah Carey, known for her extravagant demands, is preparing to launch her own tan products made, no less, than of real gold particles. Not unaccustomed with the best things money can buy, Carey is not shy about admitting that she herself already uses the product every night.

Currently on her music tour, Mariah says that she has her personal assistant spray the gold dust all over her body every night before going on stage to perform for her fans. But the assistant is not just a regular person; she is one of the best professionals from the exclusive Portofino Sun Center and Spa, from Beverly Hills.

The diva's publicist confirmed that Mariah is preparing to launch the cosmetic line, in collaboration with Jenny Phillips. 'She is on tour with Mariah and they are developing an exclusive line of bronzer containing real 24-karat gold dust', she said in a press statement.

Well, as funny as this idea may sound to the world, we must give Mariah her due and confess that she does have a point. She is probably looking not to endanger her skin by staying too long in the sun or by getting an artificial tan. Nevertheless, she should take care not to clog her pores entirely with all that dust, be it made of gold or not...
