Maria Shriver, ex-wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger, joined Matt Lauer at the Vatican earlier this week for a live edition of The Today Show and it reminded NBC why it wanted her on board in the first place – so they went back on courting her to join the team.
She’s already turned them down, TMZ reports.
Maria was a hit on this most recent edition of The Today but, no matter how much money NBC is throwing at her, she doesn’t want to deal with the stress of becoming a regular host on a daily basis.
“Maria, sources say, doesn't want a daily gig because she just doesn't want to work that hard. She's deep into charity work and also raising her kids, and she's just not that into it,” the e-zine writes.
Plus, no matter how much money networks offer her, she has more than enough not to worry about it for a single day in her life.
“Short story – Maria may tease NBC by coming on from time to time, but it's unlikely you'll ever see her every day on TV... ever again,” TMZ concludes.
