Celebopedia announced today the 10 most searched for celebrities for the week of July 4-July 10, 2005. The numbers reflect the amount of interest their entries in the celebrity encyclopedia earned in the week.
Maria Sharapova led all searches for a third straight week in the aftermath of Wimbledon. The record is five straight weeks by "Herbie" actress Lindsay Lohan. Second time mom Angelina Jolie came in second place on news of her new adoption, while "Dukes Of Hazzard" starlet Jessica Simpson came in third amid controversy surrounding that film's release.
Bootylicious magazine model Vida Guerra backed into the fourth spot, with "Alias" actress Jennifer Garner in fifth. Superstar socialite Paris Hilton came in sixth, while "Star Wars" star Hayden Christensen was the seventh most sought after.
Soccer superstud David Beckham pulled in the eighth most searches, with "The Perfect Man" star Hilary Duff coming in ninth. The Black Eyed Pea's sexy singer Fergie rounded out the top ten.
This week's major buzz movers, profiles that didn't quite cut the top 10 but were performing well above their norms, were Jessica Alba, Kelly Monaco, Adrianne Curry, Kevin Federline, Shar Jackson, Andy Roddick and Takeru Kobayashi.
