Glamorous Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova has just added expensive jewelry and accessories to the list of famous brands she is currently endorsing. The beautiful athlete and the world-famous U.S. jewelry and silverware company Tiffany & Co. have recently become best friends and signed a two-year partnership that will see Sharapova showcase some of the brand's latest designs.

"Maria Sharapova is a longtime friend of Tiffany and a champion on and off the court. It gives us great pleasure to accent her on-court look with earrings that epitomize both the quality of her championship play and Tiffany's reputation for design excellence", stated Linda Buckley, vice president of worldwide public relations for the brand.

The deal stipulates that the tennis player will help launch no less than eight different pairs of earrings, debuting one pair at each of the next eight Grand Slam tennis events in which she will participate. We'll be able to see the first such pair this week at the French Open. We're talking about a pair of 18k yellow gold Elsa Peretti Wave earrings worth $1,150 that are said to "cut a striking profile without adding weight".

"I am very excited about Tiffany for Maria Sharapova and to partner with my favorite jeweler", the tennis player herself said in a statement. "Elsa Peretti's earrings feel as beautiful as they look and I am thrilled to wear them at the French Open". In addition to the earrings, Sharapova will also wear a Nike tennis dress inspired by the flapper dresses of the 1920s and finished with Tiffany pearl buttons. The "Tiffany for Maria Sharapova collection" will then become available for sale at the company's stores around the world.
