Only a few days before the Wimbledon tennis championship debut, Sony Ericsson and Maria Sharapova, the famous female tennis player and the company's global brand ambassador, announced the release of a new collection of mobile accessories.

The "Maria Sharapova Design Collection" - because that's how it's named - consists of the following girly products: the IDC-31 Courtside Case, an IDC-32 Exercise Case, a Party Bag called IDC-33 and an IDC-34 Travel Wallet. All the four new accessories are designed to keep a mobile phone inside (preferably a Sony Ericsson one).

The new deign collection comes after Sony Ericsson and the famous tennis player have signed, back in January, a four-year contract according to which Maria became Sony Ericsson's brand ambassador.

All the above-mentioned accessories will be available starting the third quarter of the year, but Sony Ericsson did not say for what prices.

Talking about the new products, Maria Sharapova said, "Working on this collection was an opportunity that I could not turn down. Sony Ericsson helped me create a collection of mobile phone accessories that I know people will use. And I wanted to add my touch to each item. People want style, fashion and glamour, and with this collection I know that they'll have it."

Furthermore, the young Maria said, "I am looking forward to using the collection with my Sony Ericsson T303 which is equally as stylish and great to listen to music on when I exercise and when I like to relax after a match." Well, the T303 has exactly 8MB of internal memory that cannot be expanded and I really don't see what's so great in being able to store only two songs on your phone. Or is Maria saying she uses a cheap T303 only because Sony Ericsson is paying her? We'll let you decide that for yourselves.
