She’s gorgeous, she’s exotic-looking and, to cap it all off, she’s also talented. Margarita Levieva, a Russia-born former gymnast turned actress, is in talks for the much-coveted role of Bond Girl in the upcoming 007 film with Daniel Craig.Scheduled to start shooting no later than
November this year, casting for the film is heavily underway and, as with each installment, there’s plenty of speculation on who will play the Bond Girl.
Several names have already been circulated as potential candidates for the role, including that of
Naomie Harris and even Kim Kardashian at one point.
A new report suggests that the role could eventually go to Margarita Levieva.
“The 31 year old has been making a name for herself with minor roles in Lincoln Lawyer, HBO’s How to Make It in America, and Ashton Kutcher’s lover in 2009’s Spread,”
Comic Book Movie writes.
Admittedly, she caught the eye of producers, who have already reached out to her to start negotiations for the part.
“Margarita has been asked about her availability for when filming on the 23rd James Bond begins in three months,” the aforementioned e-zine writes.
“The perfect Bond girl is beautiful, confident but mysterious, and Margarita has all of those qualities,” an insider is quoted as saying.
It’s a known fact that whoever gets the role of the Bond Girl enters into a special hall of fame and, most importantly, has a guaranteed career in movies before her.
If it’s true that producers want Margarita, then she’ll probably not hesitate before signing on the dotted line – she doesn’t have the time to do either.
“The deal will need to be finalized sooner rather than later, because the schedule for production is supposed to get under way in around October this year,” the report says.
Until fans will have the chance to see Craig as Bond again, he will appear on the big screen
in “Cowboys & Aliens,” which is out this weekend, “Dream House” and “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.”
