All users should update as soon as possible

The Manjaro development team was proud to announce today, March 13, the immediate availability for update of a new Manjaro Update Pack, dated 2015-03-13 (stable). This is the fourth update to the Manjaro Linux 0.8.12 computer operating system, and it brings exciting features and performance improvements.

The fourth update for Manjaro Linux 0.8.12 brings the highly anticipated Xfce 4.12 desktop environment, which also includes some extra patches from the Manjaro team. In addition, the latest AMD Catalyst 15.200 Beta video driver is now used in the distribution in order to support the XOrg Server 1.17 series.

Of course, XOrg Server has been updated to version 1.17.1. On the other hand, the KDE Applications package has been updated to version 14.12.3, the KDE Plasma desktop environment has been updated to version 5.2.1, and KDE is now at version 4.14.6. The manjaro-tools 0.9.7 package is now included, bringing support for branding.

Important applications have been updated to their latest version

Mozilla Firefox 36.0.1, Oracle VirtualBox 4.3.24, Calligra 2.9.0, LibreOffice 4.4.1, Steam for Linux 1.0.0.49, and Maia 0.2.0 theme for KDE Plasma 5 have been included in this update. At the moment, the currently Linux kernel packages are supported in Manjaro Linux 0.8.12: 3.19.1, 3.18.9, 3.16.7.8, 3.14.35, 3.13.11.16, 3.12.38, and 3.10.71.

Last but not least, the Pamac 2.2 package manager is also included in today’s Manjaro Update, as well as all the upstream fixes from the Arch Linux operating system, on which Manjaro is based.
