Even though both have denied all reports of a romantic hookup, some publication will still not let it go. Life & Style claims to have it on good authority that Marc Anthony and Jada Pinkett Smith got “extremely close” while working together. The two starred together in the TNT series “Hawthorne,” where they played lovers. L&S doesn’t say directly that they had an affair, as other weeklies did, but it does hint their relationship had a lot to do with Marc’s divorce.
As we
also reported a few days ago, there’s a lot of talk that Jada and Will Smith’s marriage is also in trouble and that they’re considering breaking up.
As one spy puts it, Marc’s marriage to Jennifer Lopez came crashing down after he met Jada and he realized that he could
have a relationship with a woman where she’d put him first, instead of herself.
In other words, Hollywood Life reports, his marriage ended because of JLo’s diva attitude.
“[Marc] and Jada got extremely close on the set of Hawthorne,” says the spy.
Shortly after they started working together, they discovered things about each other that they loved – and, most importantly, that they could relate to.
“He said Jada was so [hot] because she was in great shape and had this tough attitude, which he loves. And she loved his style – his acting, his mojo,” the insider goes on to say.
“She even brought Marc back as a series regular and made him the show’s music producer. Jennifer couldn’t have liked that,” the source ventures a guess.
In fact, it’s precisely this kind of attention that he got from Jada that showed Marc that things could be different in his life: for one, he realized that he wasn’t getting any kind of attention from Lopez.
“It’s hard for some people to see how Marc would leave behind a gorgeous woman like Jennifer, but the truth is she’s driven. It’s always about her, her career, her image, her needs. Jada gave Marc attention,” the same unnamed tipster goes on to explain.
