Jennifer Lopez is rebounding from her failed marriage to Marc Anthony with backup dancer Casper Smart, whom she already introduced to the family and, more importantly, her two kids. Now, Marc is determined to see Smart banned from spending too much time with the twins. Radar Online reports that Anthony's biggest problem is that Smart, who is just 24 years old, has an outstanding rap sheet for driving-related incidents.
Thinking that Smart could be driving his twins around town when he's been arrested for drag racing and speeding is an idea that any father would find most troubling, so Marc has decided to take matters into his own hands.
“Smart, 24, has been arrested twice – for speeding and driving on a suspended license. Smart has also had three warrants issued for his arrest for failure to appear at required court hearings related to his arrests,” Radar says of the dancer's impressive rap sheet.
When he found out about Smart's previous record, Marc completely lost control, even telling Jennifer that she should be more cautious that her love life doesn't negatively affect her family.
“[He] went ballistic when he found out about Casper's criminal record. He explicitly told Jen that Casper wasn't allowed to drive their children anywhere,” an unnamed source says for the aforementioned publication.
“Marc hates the fact that Casper is spending time with Max and Emme. Marc is extremely jealous, and doesn't think Jen is using good judgment when it comes to Casper,” adds the spy.
To make matters even more potentially explosive, Marc and Jennifer are yet to file for divorce, delaying procedures until they can first come to an agreement about the division of assets and custody of the kids.
Should Jennifer not pay heed to Marc's latest instructions, though, he's determined to take it to court.
“This wasn't a threat that Marc gave Jen. He will go straight to family court if he needs to get a judge involved to make sure Casper doesn't get behind the wheel with his kids in the car,” the same spy explains.
This isn't the first time that word gets out that Marc isn't exactly thrilled with Jennifer's choice for a first lover after the breakup.
Earlier this month, reports were saying
he blew a fuse when he heard that Jennifer had taken Casper to Peru with her, where she was to meet him (Marc) to shoot for their joint reality show “Q'Viva: The Chosen.”
