Following Blizzard's announcement of the Feast of Winter Veil 2007, for their popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft, NEXON has confirmed a three-week long celebratory event, full of festive stuff and monsters dressed in Santa hats for Maple Story Europe. As a player of the popular MMORPG, you'll be invited to explore a new Christmas town, and hunt down special Christmas
items.

According to the official announcement, the event starts on December 15th, 2007 and runs until January 3rd, 2008, Players will be invited to explore a new Christmas town, full of sparkling Yuletide trimmings. But there will be no snow at first. That's why you'll have to track down those special Christmas items first. Only then will you see the snow falling from the sky.

It has been confirmed that the event is completely free for everyone. There's something even better: participants receive a Christmas-themed gift in exchange for helping to defeat the giant Snowman boss that regularly turns up to terrorize the Christmas town. NEXON encourages players to have a look in MapleStory Europe's Cash Shop, which now includes festive snowman costumes, woolen hats and gloves and a brand new Reindeer pet.

"Christmas is a truly special time of year, and no more so than in MapleStory Europe!" said Calvin Yoo, Director of International Business Development at NEXON Europe. "Forget the turkey and the mistletoe: with a whole new Christmas town to explore and an exciting new festive quest to take part in we're certain that Maplers across Europe will be full of the Christmas spirit come the big day."

MapleStory Europe is the latest installment of a very popular, free-to-play franchise, from NEXON. The MMORPG offers European gamers the chance to play MapleStory in five different languages - English, French, German, Spanish and Dutch, so if you're looking to pick up on the game, and take part in the Christmas event too, just check with the official website right here.
