Miss your old Google Maps experience but need Apple’s traffic info? Get the best in both worlds with MapQuest 3.2 which brings traffic-based routes to iPhone and iPad, “saving you time by routing around traffic and road closures.”

MapQuest is a mature digital mapping service that boasts unique features to offer the best directions possible. It even has Voice-Guidance, a recent addition to Driving Directions.

In version 3.2, developer AOL has added traffic-based routes, which should save drivers a lot of time as the app will calculate new directions around traffic and road closures.

Some tips are included in the route list – AOL provides an example: “Federal Blvd is just past Grove St” and there’s support for the iPhone 5's four-inch display now.

Users can now pause navigation at any time from the updated navigation display and pick an icon for themselves by tapping on their current location beacon. Lastly, the update fixes a crash experienced by some users when using traffic.

MapQuest requires iOS 4.3 or later and works with most versions of the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
