John McAfee, the founder of the McAfee antivirus company, is certainly a mysterious character, but the fact that he’s accused of murder shouldn’t surprise anyone, especially if what Gizmodo reporter Jeff Wise has written about him is true.

A few days ago, Wise wrote a lengthy article about John McAfee’s secrets, schemes, and even his impressive collection of guns.

In a recent interview with CBS, the reporter has revealed that McAfee can be a dangerous man.

“Many of [the people close to him] had left his property, had left his entourage and told me that they were afraid for their lives, even back in the United States. Thousands of miles away from him they were still worried that somehow he could reach out and harm them,” Wise said.

McAfee is the main suspect in the murder case of his 52-year-old neighbor from Belize. Although he denied having anything to do with the shooting, Wired learned that his neighbor filed a complaint against him because of his dogs.

On the other hand, McAfee went into hiding fearing that Belize authorities would kill him if they found him. Furthermore, he believes that the bullet that killed his neighbor might have been meant for him.
