Sony has begun rolling out the long-awaited Bloodborne role-playing experience onto the PS4 platform worldwide, and in order to help beginners and those who haven't played past titles from developer From Software, the publisher has just presented a lot of different tips to ensure survival or at least less deaths than usual.

Bloodborne is the next big project made by Japanese studio From Software, and while the team has done quite a few new things, the new title still bears plenty of resemblances to the studio's past projects, such as Dark Souls 1 and 2 or Demon's Souls.

Many tips arrive from Sony for newbies

While many customers will buy the game after playing previous titles made by From Software, Sony is aware that quite a few PS4 owners might not have played them and are jumping into Bloodborne as beginners.

In order to avoid causing frustration, the corporation posts a series of useful tips on the PS blog to ensure maximum survival or at least fewer deaths than usual.

Right from the beginning, players should choose an origin for their character that suits their play style. What's more, after leveling up, they should emphasize virility, endurance, and strength, in order to get the most health and damage output.

As you play, acquire as many Blood Echoes as possible, as they're the currency in the game. Be careful though, as you lose them when you die, so try to reclaim them whenever possible. Spend the echoes on new clothes from the Hunter's Dream shop, in order to get better stats. You can also spend blood stone shards on upgrading your weapons, as the extra damage also helps survival. Learning the limits and capabilities of your weapon is important as well, so make sure you practice on less powerful enemies.

In terms of combat, Sony emphasizes that players shouldn't be afraid to jump into battle and use the gun to stun enemies or land visceral strikes. Don't be afraid to use blood vials as they can be found quite easily and the Molotov is an essential item in dealing with tougher foes.

Speaking of tough enemies, Sony advises caution when dealing with wolves, trolls, and mobs of enemies, so be careful when exploring Bloodborne's world.
