Many Apple retail stores will be open on Thanksgiving day (Thursday, November 28) this year, according to a source who has seen internal papers.

ifoAppleStore cites insiders as saying that “over the past few years several Apple retail market directors have been advocating for more stores to be open on Thanksgiving, believing the company was missing out on substantial holiday sales.”

As such, as many as 10 stores will be open on Thanksgiving across the United States. People who’ve glanced at an “early list” say the following stores are sure to be open on Turkey Day.

Fifth Avenue (NYC) West 14th Street (NYC) North Michigan Avenue (Chicago) Lincoln Road (Miami Beach) San Francisco (Calif.) Pioneer Place (Portland, Ore.) The Grove (LA) Third Street Promenade (Santa Monica) Fashion Valley (San Diego) Ala Moana (Honolulu)

What’s more, Apple is said to consider opening even more stores, but so far only these 10 have been put on the list.
