Incipio is one of the first to capitalize on the hype surrounding Apple's iPhone 4 by introducing a special offer where owners of an Apple Bumper case can benefit from a $5 discount on any premium Incipio case. The catch: send in your Bumper.

“Send us your Bumper Case & get $5.00 off any Incipio product online at myincipio.com,” reads the announcement on Incipio’s web site. Restrictions apply, according to the case manufacturer. For once, the Bumpers cannot be redeemed for cash, while the offer is limited to 2 cases per household, but they can be combined with other offers. Also, the promotion is available to US residents only.

Visitors of Incipio’s web site will need to fill out a form with their full name, phone number, email address, street address, state and zip code. Incipio will ship the case of their choice to them as soon as possible. “We at Incipio value our customers and respect your privacy,” the company adds. “The information entered above will be used for the sole purpose of issuing your $5.00 gift certificate and will not be shared with any third party,” Incipio states, referring to the form in question. Customers also need to tick a box confirming that they agree to the company’s terms and conditions.

During its July 16 press conference focusing on the iPhone 4 antenna problems, Apple confirmed that iPhone 4 owners would be able to opt for a free Bumper case from the company’s online store. The Mac maker said it would not be able to produce as many Bumpers as there are iPhones out there, so it decided to source third-party cases and offer those for free as well. In a few days, customers will be able to hand-pick an item from the Apple online store and have one shipped to their door.
