Always control your carriage. This means be more attentive not only to the garments that, besides obeying the latest fashion trends, must also put you to advantage by emphasizing your particularities and "best side", thus personalize you. Do not forget that a dress, no matter how expensive or posh it is, loses some of its value if not
worn with the proper dignified appearance. Look in the mirror as often as you can: correct crooked shoulders, a hunched back and incorrect postures. Walk right, but not in a stiff manner, as if you have a stick or who knows what else stuck up your you know what. Attempt to look at people at the level of their eyes, not with the superiority of an eventual height, and neither with a bent head looking at passers-by with a knitted brow. Both situations betray a complexed nature, whose traits can aggravate in time, affecting one's personality.
Attempt to walk graciously. Even if you are a sportive or posh person, the clumsy, elephant-like walk, with the feet moving in parallel, or the hoping walk, like stepping on springs, do not come to anyone's advantage. Correcting your way of walking is easy to do, granted you strictly control yourself, at least for one month, after which the new reflex will turn into a habit.
Try to walk with the heels not too far apart from each other and the tip of the foot a bit turned towards the exterior. First try to do so on only one leg and walk as usual with the other one. Of course, you're not to exaggerate and be clownish with your new walk, or you might become downright ridiculous. Do not forget to walk with your head upright, right shoulders, while also exercising full control over the arms and not waving them about your body. Picture you're transporting a heavy basket on top of your head, which you must let drop and that forces you to slowly swing your body to keep balance.
It is recommended you do not make yourself understood by means of gestures, arm and hand gestures included. We can express ourselves plastically without these "helps"; moreover, you can better rather underline what you want to say via facial expressions. The inner conviction that lights your face as you're involved in a passionate conversation, besides making you stand out in the group, will also make for a convincing argument in sustaining your opinion.
No matter how hard it is, try to control your momentary impulses, both in words and behavior. A stupid word or act spoken in anger may never be taken back. When in a situation like this, remember this little piece of advice: count until 10, 100 and 1,000 and back if necessary until you calm down, and only afterwards formulate your opinion.
Do not forget to smile as much as possible in any situation. Be joyful. Besides the fact that laughing is healthy, strengthening the nervous system and immunity, a smiling face will always be appreciated by those around you, lighting up sad faces and even souls, and giving them a ray of hope by spreading kindness.
