The distribution is based on Linux kernel 3.8.5 and Xorg 1.14.0

Manjaro, a Linux Distribution based on well-tested snapshots of the Arch Linux repositories and 100% compatible with Arch, is now at version 0.8.5.

After a few development releases, the final version of Manjaro has arrived, with Openbox and Xfce flavors.

Highlights of Manjaro 0.8.5:

• The graphical installer was introduced; • The Manjaro Settings Manager was added; • LXDM/Slim is now used as the default display manager; • Linux kernel was updated to version 3.8.5; • SystemD was updated to version 198; • Xorg was updated to version 1.14.0; • Proprietary driver support has been implemented for AMD and Nvidia graphic cards; • Multimedia support, applications, and access to the AUR, are now available by default; • Openbox was updated to version 3.5.0 and Xfce to version 4.10.
