Manjaro, a Linux Distribution based on well-tested snapshots of the Arch Linux repositories and 100% compatible with Arch, is now at version 0.8.5 RC1.

The first release candidate of the new 8.5 branch of Manjaro comes with an updated pack from the stable-repositories.

Highlights of Manjaro 0.8.5 RC1:

• Octopi, a powerful tool to manage (Arch | Manjaro) Linux packages, has been added; • A tab widget showing 6 useful tabs has been added; • The Manjaro Settings Manager has been implemented; • SDDM has replaced LXDM; • Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.8.4.
