Rockstar has just confirmed that one of its most controversial games, Manhunt, will be released for the PlayStation 3 home console in the form of a PS2 Classic, and that it will soon be followed by The Warriors.

Manhunt sparked a huge controversy with its violent gameplay and twisted story that put players in the shoes of James Earl Cash, a death row inmate who was at the mercy of a maniac.

Now, the classic experience is set to appear for the PS3 in the form of a PS2 Classic, much like other older games from Rockstar, ranging from Grand Theft Auto 3 to Midnight Club and more.

Manhunt will be available as a digital download via the PlayStation Network next week, on May 14 in North America and May 15 in Europe.

What's more, Rockstar confirmed on its Newswire that another classic, The Warriors, will also make it onto the PS3 as a PS2 Classic experience in the near future.
