We already know that Windows Phone Mango, the next flavor of Microsoft's mobile operating system, is set to arrive on shelves with a great deal of capabilities included into the mix, but it seems that we do not actually know what all of these features will be.

One of the capabilities that seems to have been hidden in the Windows Phone Mango code all along, but which was either not unveiled or overlooked until today was its Internet Sharing capabilities.

The Redmond-based software giant seems set to offer a much better experience with Mango that it did with the previous flavor of Windows Phone, and the addition of the said feature, along with hotspot capabilities would help it achieve this goal.

The same as in various other mobile operating systems out there, Windows Phone will offer users the possibility to share an Internet connection with compatible devices.

Basically, future devices will include the ability to create small WiFi hotspots though which users will be able to connect more WiFi-enabled devices to the Internet.

With the mobile phone connected to a wireless carrier's network, Internet on the go would be at hand at all times on devices like WiFi-capable tablets or laptop PCs, all via the new feature included in Windows Phone Mango devices.

The feature was spotted in a Samsung Focus mobile phone based on Windows Phone Mango build 7720.68. The 3G connection can be reportedly shared with a number of no less than five WiFi devices.

Unfortunately, it seems that enabling the feature will leave you with no battery life in a short period of time.

For the time being, it appears that the feature can be found on only specific devices, and there is the possibility that it might require a carrier update to be enabled on others.

One thing that is certain, however, is that the new Mango OS flavor will have the feature built within, at least this is what developer Rafael Rivera confirmed via Twitter.
