Chinese handset manufacturer confirmed plans to conquer the European market with its Windows Phone devices, and the first to go on sale was ZTE Tania.

Initially launched in the UK, the smartphone’s sales were lower than ZTE expected, which is probably the main reason we will see the device get released in China, world’s largest smartphone market.

However, ZTE also plans to improve the phone’s hardware performance in order to successfully compete with Nokia and HTC smartphones, which are already available for purchase in China.

In this regard, ZTE Tania’s 1 GHz single-core CPU will be replaced with a superior 1.4 GHz single-core processor.

There are no details on the phone’s price tag yet, but ZTE sales director Wei Xiaodong confirmed for CNMO, the smartphone would be launched in China by the end of the month.
