Showcased two months ago at IFA 2011, Acer Allegro Windows Phone device is about to make its debut in the UK.

Initially codenamed Acer W4, the Allegro can be pre-ordered via Expansys for £260 ($415 or 305 EUR) outright.

According to the retailer, customers who purchase the smartphone will receive their devices around December 1. The phone is available in Dark Blue and Iceberg White colors.

Acer Allegro was also launched in India and France last month, and is expected to arrive in stores sometime in mid-November for 300 EUR (410 USD), which very close to the price offered in the UK.

The phone does not offer anything spectacular when it comes to hardware, instead it features a stylish design that might be quite appealing to Windows Phone fans.

The phone measures 11.6 x 5.9 x 13mm and weighs 126g (battery included), which makes it rather ordinary when put against other Windows Phone devices.

Acer Allegro has a medium size 3.6-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 16 million colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution. Two sensors are included as well, an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate and the proximity sensor for auto turn-off.

On the back, there's a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording capabilities. Just like other Windows Phone devices, the Allegro lacks a microSD card slot for memory expansion, instead it offer 8GB of internal memory.

On the inside, the handset is equipped with a 1 GHz single core Qualcomm MSM8255 processor and a standard 1300 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 6 hours of talk time.

When it comes to connectivity, the Allegro has it all covered and offers users a wide range of options, including HSDPA and HSUPA support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, DLNA function, as well as built-in GPS receiver.
