The third and final alpha of the latest Mandriva Linux, Mandriva Linux 2010.1 "Spring" Alpha 3, has been released and is now available for download and testing. Those wanting to see what the Mandriva team has cooked up for this release will be a bit disappointed, as Mandriva Linux 2010.1 Alpha 3 doesn't come with any new or updated features specific to Mandriva and is focusing on third-party packages for now.

That being said, the release brings the very latest of most of the packages it bundles, either for the KDE or Gnome desktop environments, and a lot of updates from the previous Alpha 2.
