Yahoo is surely a company known in the entire world because it owns the giant portal that is accessed every day by millions of users. Although the company is often identified through its portal, Yahoo is more than a single website because it owns a lot of services that can challenge all the other solutions provided by its rivals: video service, search engine, bookmark solution, instant messaging client and even an answer product that allows you to post questions and receive answers from other users of the service.

Because the company is very popular in numerous countries, Yahoo is now aiming to expand its products and open new offices in multiple areas in the entire world. As you might know, Yahoo is one of the most powerful rivals for Google, both companies aiming to open new headquarters in several cities. Today, some internet publications announced that the internet giant will open a new office in India, trying to publish their solutions in multiple Indian languages. Some time ago, Yahoo and Google tried to expand into China by making a lot of partnerships and agreements with some of the most known companies in the country.

Manchester Evening News reported today that the giant portal will open a new office in Manchester soon that will employ five people and will be headed by Steven Beckwith from Yahoo!'s London office.

"Internet giant Yahoo! has opened an office in developer Stonemartin's service office facility at Peter House, Oxford Street. It is the company's first regional office outside London. Rival Google already has a base in the city, having opened a sales office in November, 2005". Blake Chandlee, director of UK media sales, Yahoo! UK & Ireland, said: "Steven's appointment is an investment and clearly indicates our commitment to clients and partners based in northern England," Manchester Evening News reported.
