Vehicle Manager, developed by iambic, offers users the possibility to efficiently track down or manage their car's details such as: car maintenance schedule, fuel expenses, insurance data and other expenses. More importantly, Vehicle Manager can be set to track down multiple car data and give them a history for each of the cars. There are two distinct applications, which can work together to give the user a complete report about their car's needs. The first version of
Vehicle Manager works on any Windows Mobile Pocket PC, while the second can be installed on a PC Desktop. The latter version of the application can give users more detailed reports, as it can sort, filter, and export data to the Excel spreadsheet format.
After downloading and installing
Vehicle Manager for Windows Mobile, you will be able to fully use it for three days, after which you will need to register the application with a demo-version code or with the full-version code. The
demo-version code assures you another 15 days of use. Anyway, the first window of the application will ask you to create a new database where all the information will be stored. If your device accepts memory cards, I suggest saving all your info on the memory card, so you can save space for the device's memory. After setting up your saving root for the database, you can add your first vehicle by clicking the New tab. Just fill in the basic pieces of information required: car name, year, license plate, insurance and dealer.
Vehicle Manager allows users to record vehicle expenses, fuel entries, repair and maintenance cost, track business and personal mileage, and set handy reminders for when maintenance is due to be performed. Users will also be able to set up trip records, which will track every trip's expenses. Another useful option of the application is the Reminder system, which will display previously set reminders, after a certain mileage or on a certain date.
Both versions of
Vehicle Manager will keep you informed, either when you are in front of your computer or on the go. iambic offers special prices for the bundled version of Vehicle Manager, but you can also get any of the versions, handheld or desktop, at a reduced price. The full version of
Vehicle Manager for Windows Mobile can be acquired for $19.95, while the desktop version can be bought for the same price. If you want both versions, you will only need to pay $29.95.
