The right thing to do when your car decides that it very much needs a prolonged nap and refuses to start is to call a mechanic and have him convince the darn four-wheeler to wake up from its slumber.

A 35-year-old man in Italy, however, came up with an entirely different solution. Long story short, he destroyed the ride. With an axe.

According to Mirror, the incident occurred in the town of Lissone. As detailed by the police officers investigating the case, the victim was a white Fiat 500.

By the looks of it, the car's owner, identified as Spartaco Capon, bought the ride hoping to get to work on time and please his boss, who was forever complaining about how the 35-year-old kept arriving late.

So, naturally, when the car refused to start, guaranteeing that he would once again be late for work, 35-year-old Spartaco Capon got terribly angry.

Hence, he grabbed hold of an axe and proceeded to repeatedly hit each and every panel on the vehicle. When he was done, the Fiat 500 looked less like a car and more like a spaghetti strainer.

The man's neighbors witnessed the incident and immediately alerted authorities. However, seeing how the car belonged to Spartaco Capon, authorities found that they had no reasons to arrest the 35-year-old man.

“Normally in incidents like this it's not people smashing up their own car, but he was able to prove it was his,” force spokesman Anastasio Gallo said in a statement.

“We think he must have been under a lot of stress at work lately and he was taken to hospital where doctors helped to calm down and are keeping him in for tests,” he further detailed.
