“Man of Steel” isn’t even out in theaters yet but Warner Bros. is confident that it will be a hit – and, judging by the first reviews, it will be just that. Talks are now underway to make a sequel to it, one that would bring together the same team.
Deadline reports that director Zack Snyder, producer Chris Nolan, and writer David S. Goyer are already talking with Warners about the possibility of doing the follow-up film.
“Goyer’s deal is part of a huge 3-picture deal he signed at Warner Bros for Man Of Steel, the sequel, and Justice League with Superman. What is a question mark next time is the role Christopher Nolan will fill,” Deadline says.
“To reimagine this 3rd Superman franchise, Nolan stepped in as producer and mentor and story co-writer. I’m told that next time Nolan’s producer role won’t be as ‘full blown’,” adds the same media outlet.
If the above is accurate, it could confirm reports that Warners will be releasing a second Superman film before “Justice League.”
