This Tuesday, at about 10 in the morning local time, a 50-year-old man scared the life out of a bunch of fast-food enthusiasts in New York, US after walking into a McDonald's in Queens with a kitchen knife sticking out of his back.

Information shared with the public says the victim, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was literally stabbed in the back after getting into a fight with two men.

Luckily, the wound the man sustained was not very serious, which is why he managed to get away from his attackers and seek refuge in the McDonald's restaurant, Daily Mail informs.

“I heard everybody screaming and it was a lot of commotion. The guy came and he was standing there with a knife in his back and it was a kitchen knife,” witness Tromaine Yancey recollects.

While inside the restaurant, the man made a phone call. It is believed he talked either to a family member or to a close friend, possibly looking to say goodbye to them.

Police officers were called in and arrived at the scene as soon as possible. The man was rushed to a hospital, and doctors in charge of treating him say that, although he is not yet out of harm's way, his condition is stable.

For the time being, it is unclear who the 50-year-old man's attackers were. However, police officers say it is only a matter of time until they are apprehended and brought to justice.
