Up until now, we mostly talked about the blood sheds which occur once two or more dogs are put together in a confined enclosure and made to battle each other for the entertainment of some people whose minds seem to be wired in anything but the right ways.

However, we now wish to talk about the acts of cruelty which need occur in order to train these dogs to fight. Thus, only recently, a mixed Labrador was found wandering the streets of Dallas, Texas, all covered in scars and wearing a jar on its head.

Those who took care of it argue that the dog, now called Pappy, had probably been used by its former owner as a blood bait for training his/her other dogs to fight.

Apparently, the jar on its head was designed to keep it from defending itself, whilst its paw had a hole cut in it in order to determine the other dogs to react to the scent of blood.

Unfortunately, Pappy's paw had to be amputated, but the good news is that there was no need to put the animal to sleep.
