14 DAY TRIAL // A man went through an airport in China trying to smuggle a turtle on a plane. The photo above shows how his plan unfolded – he thought that he could disguise it as a hamburger.
The incident took place at China's Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, HuffPost reports. Agents discovered that he was carrying a live animal after getting the man's bag through the X-ray machine.
“There is no turtle in there, just a hamburger. There’s nothing special to see inside,” the man, identified only as “Mr. Li,” said when TSA agents questioned him.
It didn't take long before they forced him to open the bag and it came out that he was trying to travel with his pet turtle to Beijing. He apparently could not find someone to care for it during his trip.
