Married couples are known to get into fights every once in a while. Most of the times, it's back to business in an hour or two. However, it sometimes happens that these quarrels escalate and turn really violent.

By the looks of it, this is precisely what happened in southeast Missouri in the United States just a few days ago, when a 59-year-old man identified as Bobby Leonard got into an argument with his wife Carolyn and shot her.

The incident occurred this past Saturday, and the man is currently in police custody. He is facing domestic assault and armed criminal action charges, and will likely spend some time behind bars.

What's really wacky is that, according to KMOV, 59-year-old came up with one really shocking answer when asked why he grabbed hold of a gun, pointed it at his wife, and shot her in her shoulder.

In a nutshell, the man claimed he only shot his wife because he could not stand her any longer. “I got tired of her,” the 59-year-old reportedly told one of the police officers who reported at the couple's home and arrested him.

Well, one can only assume that, all things considered, Bobby Leonard will soon get more tired of being in prison than he was of his wife at the time he decided to attack her.
