Reinforcing the good advice “Don't believe everything you see on TV,” a Nigerian man decided to sue a toothpaste-producing company after being misled by their advertisement.

In the desperate attempt to attract the ladies, like the Close-Up commercial said, he was faithful to the brand for seven years, but didn't manage to attract not even one woman with his white teeth and fresh breath.

He blamed the Unilever Nigeria Limited company for his disastrous dating life and accused them of misleading customers into buying their merchandise.

The ads used to promote the toothpaste showed women chasing down and getting all excited at the sight of a guy who just brushed his teeth with Close-up, so the 26-year-old man wanted to experience the same thing.

He started using the amazing women-attracting paste and stayed faithful to it for seven years, until he convinced himself that his teeth were not the problem. Despite intensive use of Close-up toothpaste, the man is still single and decided to sue the lying company for promoting deceptive and false commercials.

“No girl ever agreed to even go out for a tea or coffee with me, even though I'm sure they could smell my breath, I always brush my teeth with so much Close-up get to make sure girls get turned on by my fresh breath as they usually show on TV,” the deceived customer claims in his suit, according to the Consumerist.

In order to prove he was using the toothpaste for the whole period of time, when no girls flocked around him attracted by his intensive teeth cleaning rituals, the Nigerian national will be submitting all of his tubes of Close-up toothpaste as evidence.

The fake marketing campaign created around the single ladies-attracting toothpaste made the victim feel “cheated” while he was loyal to the brand. After being so horribly deceived and having all his hopes of hooking up with a fresh breath appreciating woman crushed, the man demands justice.
